The deity / Decline Photoshoot....

If you hit up Pink Bike, you can check out a "Behind the Scenes" write up by Ian Hylands about our photoshoot that has been featured in the latest issue of Decline Magazine. When Decline contacted us about their interest in writing a feature about us in the magazine, we dove head first into conceptualizing multiple highly stylized and creative ideas that captured exactly what our style and lifestyle is all about. It was an opportunity to let people into our world and get a glimpse at our life, influences, and creative process.

We were honored to be featured in the magazine and with us being so critical of anything we put out...we rarely bring other people into our creative process. Call us protective of what we do, but our biggest worry was being able to find someone to actually shoot our ideas...someone who would be willing to step away from the typical standard fluff of the industry, dive into our ideas, and hopefully capture what we envisioned to begin with.

By the time we were ready to bring a photographer into the mix, we had laid out 13 plus ideas that perfectly reflected our influences, passions, and creativity. We then had to find the right photographer to shoot our vision and with a long term relationship with Ian Hylands, we felt that he would be the only person capable of dealing with our manic creative control process we put everything we do through. It led to multiple days of shooting, a lot of Jack Daniels being drank, and we were happy to see our ideas being crossed off the list.

If only we would have had a few more days to get everything we had envisioned, but the final product speaks for itself and truly reflects our classic deity style. Hit up Pink Bike to check it out and make sure to pick up the latest issue of Decline on the newsstands.
