We are very proud to announce the launch of Global Racing Imports! The brainchild of Martin Whiteley and Greg Minaar, Global Racing Imports will be our exclusive distributor in Spain, Portugal, and Andorra where we will be a part of an elite small group of brands they will represent. To say that we are excited is an understatement as we have been distributed in Spain before in a very very poor fashion, so to have actual professional people at the helm...will be amazing. We truly could not have anyone better to represent the brand that Martin and Greg. They are passionate about anything they do and they are a driving force behind the success of our DH scene.
Here is the press release from Martin and if you are in Spain, Portugal, or Andorra...contact them immediately for some gear! They are fully stocked and have solid pricing...
"The newly formed Spanish company, Global Racing Imports, has launched its new online retail and dealer service website today in 3 languages, Spanish, Portuguese and English. The new company, founded by multiple World Cup winner and former World Champion Greg Minnaar (RSA) and his business partner Martin Whiteley (AUS), is based in Whiteley’s adopted hometown of Granada in southern Spain.
Global Racing is the official distributor in Iberia (Spain, Portugal, Andorra) for the brands Kabuto, Deity and Sensus, and for SDG in Portugal. Furthermore, 2 new brands will be coming on line in January 2011. For Minnaar, this is a major step in his career, bringing products that he really believes in, to a part of Spain that has become a second home for him.
“I’ve been using the Kabuto DH Helmets for 5 years now, they used to be called OGK, and I am really excited that next spring we’ll be the worldwide exclusive distributor for a special GM signature carbon helmet in 3 colors, as well as a new Global Racing exclusive DH helmet. Their excellent range of XC and Road helmets, as well as gloves, bar tape and other accessories are already available to dealers right across Iberia. I’m so happy to bring this quality Japanese brand into Europe,” said Greg Minnaar of his latest business venture.
Co-founder Martin Whiteley said “With brands like Deity, SDG and Sensus, we are sticking with Greg’s philosophy of only stocking products that are of the highest quality, competition level, and that have a reputation for success. Added to that, we want to bring a level of service to both the on-line customer and dealer that is equal to the level of professionalism we are known for in our other activities. This includes a cool loyalty program for customers called GRIP, where shoppers earn points and free gifts. The whole site is super clean and interactive. We are really happy with its development”.
