These Shoes Were Made for Riding....

If you have been around us in the past 3 years...then you have seen us wear the same style shoes time and time again. Why? Because when we find something that works and works well, we tend to pick up a few of them before they disappear. This is true of Zoo York jeans, some shirts, and of course, Vans Shoes!

The Vans Whip-  When I first came across the Vans Whip, I began hunting them down wherever I could as they have become the best riding shoe  I have ever worn. Sure, I have 5.10's for DH, I have owned DC's, I have worn dozens of other shoes, but nothing has compared to the Whip.

The gum sole and design makes them stick to my pedals, they look great, they wear amazingly, and if you get a chance to ride with a pair...you will agree. In fact, they grip so well...I have started using them for DH. I liked them so much that I own 4 pairs of the same first gen model in black and gray, it is a bit ridiculous!

Vans La Cripta Dos- Another choice for casual wear has been the Vans La Cripta Dos for obvious reasons. They are simple, have the classic Vans look, they are not bulky, and for the days I wear them to ride, they wrap around my pedals like mad. Sure, they are not as durable as the Whip, but for a simple shoe...they are impossible to beat.

You may read this and think...'here is another person pitching something he got for free", but truth be told...I have paid retail for every pair and stand behind what I like. They are worth every penny.

We know many of you rock DC's, Etnies, etc...but it may not hurt to give www.vans.com a look as a pair of Vans shoes are as classic as Dickies shorts, black socks, and shotguns. Pick some up as there is no other sole out there like a Vans...
